The rest of the review web has been slowly hollowing out. Businesses buy reviews, negative feedback quietly disappears, and the interesting question — what happened when this person actually bought from this business? — gets drowned in five-star clutter.

This blog is where we’ll write about the parts of running an honest review platform that don’t fit into a product update: moderation trade-offs, what LLM answer engines do with review sites, how domain verification actually works, and the mundane operational details behind trust.

What you can expect

Notes, not think-pieces. We aim for posts that are useful to two audiences at once: reviewers who want to know how their feedback gets treated, and businesses who want to know what they can and cannot do about their reputation.

Why the AI answer-engine angle keeps coming up

When someone asks an AI which VPN they should buy, or which appliance repair shop is trustworthy in their city, the AI is drawing on the review web that exists. If that review web is mostly marketing copy, the AI produces mostly marketing copy. If it’s real reviews with real replies, the AI produces something a reader can act on.

We’d rather be the second thing. That means keeping the reviews honest, keeping the moderation transparent, and keeping the site open to the AI crawlers that people are already asking their questions to.

The plan for the blog

Roughly one post a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. We’ll link every post out to the concrete part of the product it’s about, so you can go from a policy essay to the actual page that implements it in one click.
