1. Agreement
By creating an account or otherwise using chaogolden, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You must provide a valid email and keep your account credentials secure.
- One person, one account. Multiple accounts to inflate a business's rating or attack it are grounds for suspension.
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account until you tell us it was compromised.
3. Reviews you write
You keep the copyright to reviews you write. By publishing on chaogolden, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to display, distribute, syndicate, and cite your review in connection with operating the platform — including to search engines and AI answer engines that we allow to index the site.
Reviews must be your first-hand experience, must follow the review guidelines, and may be removed by chaogolden if they don't. Reviews may be moderated, held, or removed at our discretion; we'll always give a reason on request.
4. If you own a business here
- Only claim businesses you actually own or are authorised to represent. Domain-verification is the check we run; misrepresentation is grounds for revocation.
- Reply publicly to reviews as much as you like — replies must follow the guidelines.
- Invitations must go to actual customers. Buying email lists and blasting invitations is grounds for suspension.
- Do not attempt to remove reviews by any means other than filing a well-founded flag against a specific rule-breaking review.
5. Paid plans
Businesses may subscribe to paid plans for verified-invitation, widget, integration, and analytics features. Plans are billed per business, monthly, and cancellable at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term.
6. Prohibited use
- No scraping the site outside
robots.txt. - No attempting to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the platform.
- No impersonating another person, business, or chaogolden itself.
- No content that is unlawful, threatens or harasses someone, or infringes another person's rights.
- No paid or incentivised reviews outside the verified-invitation programme.
7. Content owned by others
Business names, logos, and trademarks referenced on chaogolden belong to their respective owners and are used to identify those businesses. If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, contact [email protected].
8. Disclaimers
chaogolden is provided "as is" and "as available". Reviews are the opinions of the reviewers and not statements of fact by chaogolden. We don't warrant that the site will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of the site.
9. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, the guidelines, or the law. You can close your own account at any time — see your account.
10. Changes to these terms
We'll update the "last updated" date and — for material changes — surface a notice on the account overview.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of chaogolden's operating entity. Disputes should first be raised at [email protected].
